Hello everyone. My name is Sacha(He/Him/They) and I am an Indy comic artist and illustrator from Gatineau, Québec. I speak French and English.

My main comic project right now is a historical YA comic called Seeds of Spring, with the writer Christoper Coquard. It's the the biography Peter Kropotkin, a former russian noble turned anarchist, told from the prespective of a current day tennager, learning to reconnect with her Mi'kmaq heritage, with the help of her grandparents.             Seeds of Spring is a 15 part comic book series based on the real life story of Peter Kropotkin, a former Russian prince who gave up his aristocratic life to become a notable geographer who mapped uncharted parts of Siberia, and one of the leading anarchist thinkers of his time, who escaped Russia's most dreaded prison.

            The story is told from the perspective of Naguset, a 17 year old girl who is learning to reconnect with her Mi'kmaq heritage with the help of her grand-parents.

            The story juxtaposes Naguset's personal and political coming-of-age in her loving family home with Kropotkin's rocky upbringing in a princely palace. These two stories of eventful lives and bold hearts are interwoven with Kropotkin's theories of freedom, Mi'kmaq vocabulary and social history, and an uplifting punk soundtrack, creating a unique reading experience bound to inspire readers to think in new ways about the issues of our time.

                  All current issues of Seeds of Spring will be on sale this Saturday at @constellation I am really exited to finally be at this bookfair. Come by to chat if you are in Montreal this weekend.
                  Seeds of SPring is a serial YA comic, written by Chris Coquard, that I have been illustrating for a few years now. It's an adaptation of Peter Kropotkin's autobiography, the famous russian prince who rejected his noble titles to become a respected scientist, and humanitarian, who charted part of Siberia, escaped Russia's most feared prison, and is remembered as one the worlds most notable anarchist thinkers. The story is told from the perspective of a current day teenager named Naguset who learns to reconnect with her Mi'kmaq culture with the help of her grandparents. Both stories parallell each other in themes and juxtaposes current day issues with historical drama. (I also have PDF versions on my Ko-Fi)
